I started making baskets because:

1. I needed some.
2. I think handmade baskets are pretty cool looking <g>.
3. They are fun to do!

Artsy things are wonderful, but if they are utilitarian, that makes them even better!

For the baskets that I sell, I have tried to limit myself to those which will work for knitters, crocheters, weavers, and spinners, i.e., baskets that will hold yarn, fiber, small tools -- and that are easily transportable.

Of course, these baskets can be used for anything.

The designs and colors keep changing as the mood strikes me. So, the baskets shown here are merely samples. If you want another color or a combination of different weaves, just let me know.

My baskets are done with all natural materials and have no glue or nails. Many of the colors are achieved with natural dyes. The finishing on most is done by tea staining. Sizes are approximate, as each basket varies. Like anything handmade, each basket takes on a "personality" of its own as it is being created.
